Spring Clothes Pin
Clamp Extender

Julyan Wallis just e-mailed me from the U.K., with this wonderful
little trick. Sometimes his Klemmsia clamps are just a bit too short to reach
a brace he wants to reglue inside a guitar top. To reach a little farther, he
simply tapes a regular spring clothes pin onto the end of the bottom jaw of
the clamp, like this:
Then, when he tightens the clamp, the clothes pin is jammed up against the top,
and forced open as it exerts pressure way out at the end:
The best part is that because of the spring action, it doesn't even need to be very securely taped onto the clamp!
